The implementation of this project was co-financed with funds from the European Regional Development Fund under the Sectoral Operational Programme “Improvement of the Competitiveness of Enterprises” for the years 2004–2006.

As part of this project, co-financed under the Sectoral Operational Programme Priority 2 — Direct Support for Enterprises, Measure 2.3 — Increasing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises through investment, activities included:

• the purchase of machinery and equipment for the production of plastic components,
• the purchase of production management software.

40% of the total project costs were financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

By implementing this project, Bikkoplast has strengthened its competitive position on both the domestic and EU markets. The use of new technologies and the introduction of a modern management system have improved production quality.

Work has become less burdensome and more efficient, and waste generated during production has been significantly reduced. Previously, this waste not only caused material losses (as it could not be reprocessed) but also generated high disposal costs in compliance with EU standards.

The transfer of innovative technologies has allowed the company to expand its business activities and product portfolio, introducing product innovations.

Additionally, the project has resulted in a significant improvement in occupational health and safety conditions at the plant through:

• noise level reduction,
• increased automation of machinery and equipment.
