Bikkoplast has many years of experience in manufacturing components using the glass overmolding method. These are mainly glass shelves for refrigerators. In 1995, we launched our first production of glass refrigerator shelves using a mold designed in collaboration with French engineers. In the following years, our in-house tool shop began independently producing molds.

The overmolding of glass shelves is a fully automated process: a robot places the glass panel into the mold and removes the finished part within the same cycle. The use of robotics ensures cycle repeatability and high product quality.

For several years, we have also been performing glass overmolding using two-cavity molds, which provides excellent efficiency and cost competitiveness for large-scale production.
